Southern Arizona Research Lodge No 2

Research Papers Online

In the library at Tucson Lodge No 4 there is a blue three ring binder titled "Southern Arizona Research Lodge" The binder contains 23 research papers given between October 10, 1979 and November 11, 1983.The papers are typed double spaced on what appears to be a dot matrix printer. There is a total of 152 pages and the reports run from just over a single page to 17 pages. The average report consists of 6.6 pages and the medium length is 4.5 pages but the mode is 3 pages. There are two distinct reports with the same title and by the same researcher but they are two different reports. Only one report has several line drawings. There is a reference in the binder that states there were a total of 25 papers during this time period but two of them are not on file so they are lost to us.

There is another similar blue binder but at this writing we are not sure if it is a copy or it contains additional material. From a cursory study it appears to be a duplicate copy.

We appreciate the unknown brother who assembled this body of work and we wonder why it stopped in 1983. Are there other volumes that cover the ensuing years?

We are putting these reports on our website so they can be read especially by our members who are not in Tucson. We have the papers in scanned jpeg images but are in the process of making them Optical Character Read (OCR) documents. If the Index doesn't show up as a hyperlink it just means we are working on it.

It is hoped that these 23 articles will spark an interest or rekindle a spark in Masonic Research.
