Southern Arizona Research Lodge No 2

Our own little Blogger Site

Our Blog Site is a Team Blog Site which means there is an Administrator who has rights to edit or delete other people's entries as well as make his own Blog entries and there are Team Members who can make Blog entries and edit or delete their own entries but nobody else's entries. If you are not an Administrator or a Blog Team Member you can read entries but you cannot add or modify any Blog entries.

In many respects a Blog site is similar to Yahoo Groups which we also have. We use our Yahoo Group as a List Server so we can send out email messages and notification to everyone from a single source that way each administrator doesn't have to keep his own email address list. Brother John George is the moderator for our Yahoo Group and like a Blog you have be invited to join the group. We also use our Yahoo Group as a private chat room giving us the opportunity to type real time messages to each other if need be, it is great for committee type work. The main difference between a Yahoo Group and a Blog Site is that the Blog site looks more like a regular web page and one has to log into the site to see the messages.

Our Webmaster is the Administrator and he has a backup or two. In order to become a Blog Team Member you must be invited by an Administrator. For security reasons these invitations are only active for a certain period of time. If you miss the invitation you will have to ask an Administrator to invite you again.

The invitation comes from the sender "Blogger Invites" and has the subject of "Blogger Blog Invitation Form". We tell you this because many people will just delete the email as so much junk mail because of an unknown sender. You can either accept or reject the invitation. If you accept the invitation follow the instructions and links in the invitation, if you don't already have a Blogger account you will be asked to create one.
